Post-induction, the MoFo Academy will continue to offer formal training sessions and workshops that will help you to develop skills to so that you can provide consistent and exceptional cross-border experience for our clients. We look for trainees who want to be technical experts but who also understand that building networks both internally and externally is critical to the firm’s success and to the development of your practice. This combination of formal and on-the-job training resulted in MoFo London being awarded the LawCareers.net award “Best Trainer – US Firm” in 2017 and being re-nominated in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Post-qualification, our newly qualified associates are invited to our global induction and training program – MoFo University – in San Francisco. This represents a great opportunity to meet other new joiners from around the globe and to participate in training and development activities that are both practice group-led and skills-based.

Both pre- and post-qualification our partners and associates are invested in seeing you succeed. Throughout your training contract you will be given support to evaluate your strengths and identify your developmental needs, both informally and through formal reviews with your supervisors and our training principal. Diversity in Action

We’ve been a longtime champion for diversity within the legal profession and take pride in our diverse workplace. We believe that lawyers with different backgrounds, interests and experiences working together arrive at better answers and offer fresher perspectives. We continuously strive to attract, develop and retain talented lawyers from diverse backgrounds. We have an active London Diversity Committee and affinity groups supporting women, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ initiatives. Our London partners Brian Bates and Trevor James, sit on the firmwide Diversity Strategy Committee and our senior female lawyers also play a role in the firm’s global Women’s Strategy Committee. Both of these committees work closely with firm leadership to recommend major diversity goals and objectives to our board of directors. MoFo Together is London’s Ethnic Minority Affinity Group that addresses barriers faced by ethnic minorities through raising awareness and spearheading initiatives to create an inclusive workplace for all. Together, we celebrate our cultural differences and tackle issues that are pertinent to ethnic minorities in the legal industry and those joining the profession.
