INNOVATORS WORKING FOR INNOVATORS, ALL AROUND THE WORLD

“MoFo” … Seriously?

In the 1970s, when teletype was used to send overseas cables, the firm purposely chose “mofo” as our teletype address. The nickname stuck, and we later decided to use it as our web address. In many ways, the MoFo nickname is an affectionate reminder that while we are very serious about our clients’ work, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Who We Represent

Our clients include Fortune 100 companies, leading technology and life sciences companies, and some of the largest financial institutions worldwide, from Walmart, to SoftBank to Sony Music Entertainment. We also represent investment funds and startup companies, supporting many in their growth and development as major industry players and household brands.

How Clients See Us

Morrison & Foerster’s 1,000 lawyers and other professionals stand out for commitment to client service. In 2015, based on in-depth interviews with decision-makers at more than 300 leading companies, BTI Consulting named MoFo to its Client Service 30 list — the top 30 firms in its Client Service A-Team report.
